About
At Exe Sails & Covers, we believe in the personal touch, that when you are buying a sail, not
only is it important to talk to the sailmaker who will do the work, but that your needs are met and your opinions taken on
board.
Drawing together a wealth of knowledge from over 100 years in the marine industry, there’s not much we haven’t seen before and we believe that friendly customer service and delivering a strong product that we can be proud of, are most important.
During the summer of 2013, we decided that to be able to offer the best service and as broad a range of products as possible, it was necessary to merge together and form a new business. Building on the skills and knowledge that Sam, Chris and Pete have built up over many years in sailmaking and the marine industry, as well as the passion we have for sailing, our team are offering and delivering new services and products within and outside the marine industry.

sailor, Sam can often be seen sailing his Hornet at Starcross Yacht Club as
well as sailing anything else he can get his hands on. Sam spent 3 years working for
Bainbridge International who are one of the largest sailcloth manufacturers
globally, so has a wealth of knowledge of sailcloth, hardware and marine canvas products.

else.
