At Exe Sails & Covers, we specialise in custom-made powerboat and RIB covers that are patterned and cut for a precise, tailored fit. Every cover we produce begins with a detailed, hands-on templating process. We work directly on your boat to create an accurate pattern, taking into account console shapes and seating layouts, rails, cleats and fittings, engine configurations, tension points and water run-off.
This approach ensures your cover fits cleanly and securely, without sagging, pooling, or excessive strain. A well-templated cover not only looks better but lasts significantly longer and performs properly in all weather conditions.
Cover Types
Every powerboat is unique, and so are your needs. We take the time to design and build each cover specifically for your boat, considering how and where it’s used – whether you’re trailing it, keeping it on a mooring, or storing it ashore over winter.
Mooring Covers
These are intended for boats kept in the water or in dry storage, protecting against UV rays, rain and dirt. They fit over the entire boat and are usually fastened using rib hooks or snaps (depending on boat type).
Console Covers
These fit over the centre console and are designed to protect the helm station, steering wheel and expensive marine electronics (like GPS and engine gauges) from UV rays, salt spray, rain and dirt.
Seat Covers
Specifically designed to protect the upholstery of your boat’s seating from cracking, fading and mildew. These can be tailored perfectly to individual seats, whether you have single/double jockey seats, bench seats or leaning posts.
Trailing Covers
These are designed to protect your boat from debris, wind and rain whilst trailering at highway speeds. They are extremely tight and streamlined to prevent wind from getting under the cover.

A cover is only as good as the components that secure it
We only use high‑quality marine‑grade components such as thread, buckles, webbing, eyelets and bungee cord, selected for strength, UV resistance and long‑term reliability in harsh marine conditions.
To maximise service life, we add PVC reinforcement to areas that experience higher levels of wear, such as contact points, rubbing zones and stress‑loaded sections. This additional protection helps prevent chafe, reduces long‑term abrasion and keeps the cover performing at its best for years. Combined with durable fittings and our reinforced construction methods, these materials ensure each cover delivers secure fastening, dependable performance and extended longevity on the water and in storage.
